Frequently Asked Questions
Everything homeowners ask before hiring Pro Fix — pricing, insurance, warranty, service area, and how the process works.
Are you insured, and do you guarantee your work?
Yes. Pro Fix carries General Liability insurance for your protection, and every project includes a written workmanship warranty. If something isn't right, I'll come back and make it right.
What makes Pro Fix different from other contractors?
You get one point of accountability from start to finish. I personally evaluate your project, explain your options, manage the details, and make sure the final result meets the standard we agreed on. No handoffs, no disappearing after the job starts.
Do you do all the work yourself?
For most projects — repairs, painting, drywall, trim, doors, and small remodeling — you work directly with João from start to finish. For larger or specialized projects, I bring in trusted trade partners and personally oversee the process. Either way, you always have one person responsible for your project.
Do you take on smaller repair projects?
Yes. Many homeowners struggle to find a reliable contractor for repairs, punch lists, and improvements that are too detailed for larger contractors. That's exactly where Pro Fix helps — quality work without the hassle of managing multiple companies.
What types of projects do you specialize in?
Pro Fix specializes in the repairs and improvements many larger contractors overlook — drywall repairs, painting, trim and doors, cabinet updates, exterior repairs, and small remodeling projects — all completed with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Do you work with real estate agents and property managers?
Yes. Pro Fix helps real estate professionals with inspection repairs, punch lists, pre-listing improvements, and turnover projects. The goal is simple: reliable communication, quality repairs, and a property ready for the next step.
How does your estimate process work?
The process is simple: (1) You contact Pro Fix, (2) I review your project details and goals, (3) I evaluate the work needed, and (4) you receive a clear written estimate before anything begins. No surprises.
Do you charge for estimates?
Most projects start with a straightforward evaluation when the scope is clear. If a project requires detailed troubleshooting, measurements, or diagnosis before pricing, a paid assessment may apply. That fee is credited toward your project if you move forward with Pro Fix.
What payment methods do you accept?
Pro Fix accepts common payment methods, and project payment schedules are clearly explained before work begins. There are no surprises — you know what to expect before the project starts.
Do you handle electrical or plumbing work?
For specialized work that requires a licensed professional, I coordinate with qualified trade partners so your project is handled properly and according to code. My role is making sure everything stays organized and moving forward.
Will you recommend work I don't actually need?
No. I recommend what your home actually needs, not the biggest project just because it costs more. If a smaller repair solves the problem, that's the solution I'll recommend.
Do you clean up after completing the project?
Always. This is your home, not a job site — I treat it that way. The goal is to leave your space clean, organized, and ready to enjoy.
What happens after the project is done?
The relationship doesn't end when the work is finished. If something needs a second look, you contact the same person who handled your project — with the same accountability and workmanship warranty.
What areas do you serve?
Based in Apex, NC, Pro Fix serves homeowners throughout the Triangle area — including Holly Springs, Cary, Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina, Morrisville, Garner, Angier, Clayton, and Willow Spring. If you're nearby, reach out and I'll confirm availability.
How soon can you start my project?
Availability depends on the size and scope of your project. Smaller repairs and punch list items are often scheduled faster, while larger projects are planned carefully to provide a realistic timeline.
Can you help if I don't know exactly what I need?
Absolutely. Most homeowners aren't contractors — and they shouldn't have to be. Describe the problem, and I'll help you understand the options and recommend the right solution.
